Alexa Shopping List Savings

Demystifying a new money-saving feature

With the Alexa Shopping List Savings campaign, we set out to inform grocery shoppings about a new money-saving feature. But there was a lot to tell in :30. By scanning their grocery receipts in the Alexa app, customers could earn cash back automatically applied to an Amazon gift card, to spend on literally millions of products.

Partnering with CGI director Clim, we built a colorful, metaphor-rich world that reflected the simplicity and charm of the Alexa brand. Using a blend of animation and live-action, we walked customers through the familiar frustrations of coupon clipping, and showed how Alexa could make it all easier.

The Story

Merging worlds:
real life meets digital ease brought to life via mixed media

We created a stylized, fully CGI environment to reflect the simplicity and charm of Alexa Shopping List Savings: bright, playful, and true to the Alexa brand.

Smartphone screen displaying an Alexa shopping list app with items like spray cleaner, hand cream, and oranges, surrounded by blurred household and grocery items.
Colorful display of various groceries including watermelons, bananas, apples, oranges, lettuce, herbs, bread, and bottles of liquids on a pastel-colored background with geometric platforms.
Multiple pairs of scissors cutting sale coupons with discounts such as 50% off, 10% off, BOGO, and free offers, arranged on a blue background.

Our creative approach centered around the tension between the old coupon cutting ways and the new.

So, we follow a customer navigating the chaotic world of coupon cutting and deal hunting.

It’s instantly relatable.
